FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Tre Breland III’s 21 points helped Central Connecticut State defeat Sacred Heart 68-67 on Saturday.

Two free throws by Davonte Sweatman with two seconds remaining gave CCSU a four-point lead.

Breland also added six rebounds and three steals for the Blue Devils (17-10, 11-3 Northeast Conference). Allan Jeanne-Rose scored 16 points while going 6 of 9 and 4 of 8 from the free throw line. Jordan Jones shot 2 for 9 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 4 of 6 from the free throw line to finish with nine points.

Alex Sobel finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, two steals and five blocks for the Pioneers (14-15, 8-6). Raheem Solomon added 16 points for Sacred Heart. Nico Galette also put up nine points and 10 rebounds.
