Lendeborg scores 17 as UAB takes down Tulsa 70-63

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Yaxel Lendeborg had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Eric Gaines also scored 17 points and UAB defeated Tulsa 70-63 on Sunday.

Gaines added seven assists and Javian Davis added 14 points for the Blazers (16-8, 8-3 American Athletic Conference).

The Golden Hurricane (12-11, 3-8) were led in scoring by PJ Haggerty, who finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. Isaiah Barnes added 12 points and seven rebounds for Tulsa.

Tony Toney scored seven points in the first half and UAB went into the break trailing 32-30. Lendeborg scored 15 points in the second half to lead UAB to the seven-point victory.
